REMINISCENCE

That dewy morning in my country side
When our gaze upon the sky we'd fix
Waiting to witness the sun rise
While in the kitchen, our breakfast Mama fix

When while hunting for crickets under tree roots
From a nearby shrub an owl hoots
And scattered, we would run without boots
Then shiver at night during tales of the woods

When we fought darkness with oil Lamps
When we'd happily display our pants
Chase fire flies while the birds chant
Yes, when we didn't worry about needs and wants

When tomorrow was another play day
Whoever though about pay day
But would rejoice for no farm on Sunday
Then ironically, worry about school on Monday

Those Queens from way back
Who wont seek for a King with six pack
Nor trace happiness along a fast track
But make do with just a shack

Dilemma

It’s a clarion call they say
As a citizen, you had to obey
And for the excitement of the khaki
You threw a party

Mr. Waste No Chance
When you saw her dance
Your blood got hot
So, you took the shot

Sent to a foreign state
You wouldn’t check your mate
You prefer fresh tits
That you did hit

Now Prieye will not let leave his daughter
You’ve made her a mother
By their traditional law
They must keep their in-law

Nguamo, the one at the party
Has just delivered your baby
You had fun
Do not run!
